Astronomers made a statement about the "devil comet" approaching the Earth. Stating that a model of the asteroid named "devil's comet", which has exploded many times this year, has been made, astronomers said that the asteroid explodes every 15 days, spewing gas and ice.
Officially known as Comet 12P, the most recent explosion of the asteroid was on December 14, and it was announced that the next explosion could be today or tomorrow.
Comet 12P, which was determined to be affected by intense heat from the sun, is called the "devil comet" because it grows horns during explosions.
It is estimated that the comet will be closest to Earth in April 2024 and will be visible to the naked eye in May and June. The date when the devil comet will be brightest is June 2, 2024.
