Her 41-year-old husband, Thomas, was detained and admitted to her murder. Thomas requested to be released after admitting to her murder, but his request was rejected by the Swiss Supreme Federal Court.

“I DID IT TO PROTECT MYSELF”

According to Swiss news agency BZ Basel, horrifying new details about the murder have come to light. 

The model's husband and father of her two daughters confessed to killing his wife in March, but said she had attacked him with a knife before and that he did it to protect himself.

HE USED MANY CUTTING TOOLS 

However, forensic experts found no signs of a struggle and determined that the cause of death was strangulation.

Ekran Alıntısı-16According to the autopsy report obtained by the newspaper, Joksimovic's body was mutilated with a saw, knife and garden shears.

“PUREED”

Parts of her body were “pureed” with a hand blender and dissolved in a chemical solution, the report said.

Thomas was arrested a day after her body was found and testified that he found her dead a month ago and in a panic dismembered her body in the laundry room.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that Thomas showed “a markedly high level of criminal energy, lack of empathy and cold-bloodedness after killing his wife” and tried to cover it up. 

Prosecutors also revealed that he had previously strangled his wife. 

THEY HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR 7 YEARS

Joksimovic, a model and finalist in a beauty pageant in Switzerland, married Thomas in 2017.
