It was stated that Thomas, the husband of beauty pageant finalist Joksimovic, who was murdered in February 2024 in the Binningen district of Basel, Switzerland, requested to be released after confessing to killing his wife, but this request was rejected by the Swiss Supreme Federal Court.
According to Swiss media reports, after killing his wife Joksimovic, Thomas dismembered her body with a saw, knife and garden shears and put the pieces in a blender. Thomas then dissolved these parts with chemicals.
CLAIM OF SELF-DEFENSE
Swiss media outlet BZ Basel reported that Thomas claimed he killed his wife because she attacked him with a knife and that it was self-defense. The court ruled that Joksimovic was strangled to death. Thomas was quoted as saying in his first statement to police that he 'found Joksimovic dead' and 'panicked' and dismembered her body.
Joksimovic, a model and finalist in a beauty contest in Switzerland, had married Thomas in 2017.
