The inventor of the pistol is dead!

Austrian engineer and businessman Gaston Glock, the inventor of Glock, the world's best-known handgun, has died at the age of 94.

According to Austria's Krone newspaper, Glock, the "king of guns", has died at the age of 94.

Guston Glock founded the company "GLOCK" in the state of Lower Austria in 1963 and produced knives for the Austrian army in the 1970s.

In the early 1980s, engineer Glock "revolutionized" the handgun market, developing the semi-automatic Glock pistol, one of the world's best known and most widely used pistols by law enforcement agencies around the world.

According to the company's data, today more than 65 percent of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in the United States use Glock pistols.
