German Army Spokesperson Ulrich Fonrobert also made a statement at the Cologne-Wahn Military Air Base, stating that a hole was detected in the fence in the area leading to the water distribution facility.

Fonrobert shared that the base was closed for a while to find the perpetrator or perpetrators, but despite intensive searches, they have not yet been found.

It was noted that the water supplied to the base showed an abnormal increase in values and may have been contaminated. Officials said that the samples taken from the drinking water were still being examined, so the water at the base was cut off.

Fonrobert said they were taking the incident seriously and that the security services were working to clarify the incident.

Fonrobert reported that the doors of the base were reopened after a while.
