The single-engine Cirrus SR22 aircraft, which took off from Canberra Airport, caught fire after crashing for an unknown reason.
According to the first determinations, at least one person lost his life in the accident.
Firefighters and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area after the accident.
The Australian Transportation Safety Bureau (ATSB) launched an investigation into the incident.
