Patrick Delaney, CEO of Australia's media and telecommunications giant Foxtel, apologized after a photo of him giving a Nazi salute surfaced. The photo was taken about 10 years ago on the set of the television program Fox Sports. Delaney said the photo was taken to reflect the cheering of fans of the Western Sydney Wanderers soccer club. However, he said it was misunderstood because of its similarity to the Nazi salute.

Delaney emphasized that the photo was against his “values and beliefs” and said he would meet with Jewish community leaders after the incident to express his regret. Stating that racism is unacceptable, Delaney apologized to the Jewish community and other victims.
