A new convoy of 10,000 migrants is reported to have left Mexico for the United States.

According to Mexican media reports, thousands of migrants marching from Tapachula in Chiapas state in the south of the country want to reach the US somehow.

Luis Rey Garcia Villagran, Director of the Center for Humanitarian Dignity (CDH), said in a statement that around 10,000 migrants are on their way for now, but this number could rise to 15,000.

Stating that the nationalities of the migrants are from 24 different countries, Villagran noted that there are more than 3 thousand children under the age of 14 and pregnant women among the groups.

Villagran reminded that this year has seen the largest influx of migrants this year, and stated that the arrival of such a large crowd to the US will bring serious difficulties.

In response to the news, Mexico and the United States will reinforce security forces along the border.

In Mexico, many migrants fall into the hands of gangs and organized crime groups as they try to flee to the US in the hope of a better life.

Many migrants from Central American countries are trying to reach the US via Guatemala and Mexico.
