In a balanced game in the first half, Portugal took the lead through Bernardo Silva, taking advantage of a man-marking error in the defence. After Samet Akaydin's big mistake, the difference increased to two and Bruno Fernandes' empty net goal decided the result of the match.

The team, which could not take advantage of two clear opportunities with Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the first half, could not find a solution to Portugal's closed defence and slowing down the tempo of the game in the second half and had difficulty in finding positions. The Turkish team, which tried the rival goal with shots from a distance, could not find the goal they were looking for and left the match with a different defeat.

With this result, Portugal, who scored 6 points, secured their exit from the group, while Turkey dropped to second place with 3 points.

Turkey will play Czech Republic in the last match of the group and Portugal will play Georgia on 26 June Wednesday.
