A suspect wearing a black balaclava escaped in a silver car and remained at large, prompting authorities to advise the public to avoid the area. An update on Saturday revealed that three men were believed to be the perpetrators and law enforcement was diligently working to apprehend them. Of the 12 injured individuals, six sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the severity of the others’ injuries was still undetermined. The victims ranged in age from their 20s to mid-50s. Police were actively searching for the three suspects who managed to evade capture. Emergency responders were on the scene, and images showed a significant presence of emergency vehicles. Mayor Olivia Chow confirmed that all necessary resources had been mobilized for the ongoing investigation. The shooting occurred at the location of a former steakhouse, where a new establishment called the Piper Arms Pub was set to have its grand opening on Friday.
