Musk is poised to co-chair the newly established “Department of Government Efficiency” alongside tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

The appointment of venture capitalist Sriram Krishnan as a senior policy adviser on artificial intelligence by Trump reignited the debate over green card policies and the recruitment of highly skilled foreign workers. Far-right activist Laura Loomer criticized Krishnan’s prior recommendation to Musk to explore the elimination of per-country caps on green cards, labeling the appointment as “deeply disturbing.”
