The 52-year-old rap icon will carry the torch on Friday in Saint-Denis, north of Paris, where the French Olympic Stadium is located.

Saint-Denis will be the penultimate leg of the torch relay, which will end at the Eiffel Tower.

The Olympic torch began its journey through different cities in France in May. It has been carried by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and actress Halle Berry.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. and was born in Los Angeles, which will host the 2028 Olympic Games, will be a "special correspondent" for US network NBC during Paris 2024.
