A 19-year-old, Sonny Boyes from Exeter, has been brought before the Exeter Magistrates’ Court for allegedly committing a series of rape and sexual offenses near a train station on the same evening. The court heard that Boyes is accused of raping a 16-year-old girl at Clyst Halt Avenue in the city on Friday evening. He also faces four charges of sexual assault against a 17-year-old girl at the Digby & Sowton train station in Exeter and on a train traveling into the city. Boyes was remanded in custody by the magistrates and is scheduled to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 12 June. Detective Inspector Emma Lefort of Devon and Cornwall Police stated on Sunday that the victims are being supported by specialist officers and urged anyone with information about the incidents near Digby & Sowton railway station on Friday 9 May between 20:45 and 22:00 to come forward.
