Brendan Fraser, who won his first Oscar for his performance in "The Whale", played the character of "W.S. Hamilton", the lawyer of Robert De Niro's character in Scorsese's "Full Moon Killers".

Fraser's exaggerated role as a lawyer in these few minutes of scenes caused controversy. While some criticized the actor's style, others found it very appropriate to the flow of the story.

Martin Scorsese, who broke his silence on the subject, supported the famous actor in an interview with LADbible.

"WE HAD A GREAT TIME WORKING TOGETHER"

"I thought he would be a great person for a lawyer and I've admired his work over the years. He actually only came to the movie for a couple of weeks, especially when we were shooting later on. We had a really good time working together, especially with Leonardo DiCaprio."

"HE'S A GREAT ACTOR"

"Especially in the scene where he says, 'They put a noose around your neck and she saves you, stupid boy'. It was perfect when we heard that he was really bringing the whole scene down on Leo. And he had that size, he was big in the frame at the time. He's a great actor and it was great working with him," he continued.

Lily Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro star in "The Full Moon Killers," based on David Grann's 2017 book, which tells the true story of a series of murders of Osage Native Americans for oil rights under Oklahoma.
