Mistaken Identity Leads to Shocking Revenge Plot

If you’re considering going full Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”-style on your ex’s car, it’s wise to double-check that you have the right target. According to deputies in Florida, an 18-year-old woman and her 16-year-old companion now find themselves in hot water after inadvertently vandalizing the wrong vehicle in an ill-fated attempt at revenge.

This peculiar incident unfolded in Deltona, situated to the northeast of Orlando within Volusia County. Law enforcement officers were alerted to the scene following reports of a young woman defacing a car with spray paint. Upon arriving at the location, they encountered the two girls, one of whom was found with traces of spray paint on her pants.

Upon questioning, the 18-year-old confessed that she was seething with anger towards her former boyfriend and had decided to unleash her fury by spray painting and egging what they believed to be his car. As fate would have it, the vehicle actually belonged to the boyfriend’s unsuspecting neighbor.

Further inspection by the sheriff’s office uncovered a trove of incriminating evidence in the possession of the girls. Among the items found were two Four Lokos, an empty Crown Royal bottle, marijuana, and a can of yellow spray paint.

As a result of their actions, the 18-year-old now faces charges including criminal mischief, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of alcohol while under 21, and driving under the influence. Meanwhile, the 16-year-old girl has been charged with possession of marijuana exceeding 20 grams.

This bizarre turn of events serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of acting in haste and the unforeseen consequences that can arise from acts of misguided vengeance.
