Kimberly J Brown’s Mysterious Halloween Tradition Revealed!

“Kimberly J. Brown Continues Co-Star’s Halloween Tradition”
The cast of Disney Channel’s Halloweentown film series recently reunited at 90s Con for a Q&A session moderated by PEOPLE’s Dory Jackson. Kimberly J. Brown, Daniel Kountz, and Judith Hoag shared memories from filming and their experiences with the late co-star Debbie Reynolds. Brown reminisced about Reynolds suggesting she dress up as her character Marnie Piper to give out candy on Halloween, a tradition she carried on for a few years. Reynolds even insisted that Brown keep her character’s cloak from the movie. The panel also touched on Reynolds’ energy and professionalism on set, with Kountz recalling her ability to lift spirits during low-energy scenes. Hoag shared a lesson she learned from Reynolds about always standing in for herself during filming. The first Halloweentown film, which aired over 25 years ago, was inspired by a creative idea from executive producer Steve White’s daughter. Sheri Singer, another executive producer on the film, recounted the origin of the movie’s concept in an interview with E! News.

PLE provides a wide range of content, including celebrity news and captivating human interest stories. The casting process for the original movie “Halloweentown” took place gradually, with Reynolds playing Aggie Cromwell, Brown portraying Marnie Piper, Hoag as Gwen Cromwell Piper, Zimmerman as Dylan Piper, and Roeske as Sophie Piper. The success of the first film led to three sequels: “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge” (2001), “Halloweentown High” (2004), and “Return to Halloweentown” (2006).

Brown, who played Marnie, met her husband Kountz on the set of “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge.” They recently tied the knot, celebrating with an intimate ceremony in 2022. Hoag, who starred in all four “Halloweentown” movies, shared that working with Reynolds was a major draw for her involvement in the film.

The actors have fond memories of their time on set, with Brown expressing joy in now being able to refer to each other as husband and wife. Their love story continues to captivate fans, and they recently shared details of their wedding at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, Calif.

The Classic Rewind Weekend 2022 featured a panel discussion where Hoag reflected on her experience working with Reynolds and her excitement at being part of the magical world of “Halloweentown.” Fans can catch up with the stars at 90s Con, taking place at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford until Sunday, March 30.
