Within the scope of our work, 16 command and control servers were identified and published in the USOM malicious connections list and blocked.

We also provided the necessary information to our 2203 Cyber Incident Response Teams (CERTs) through the SOME Communication Platform (SIP).

Our Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) requested an explanation from Apple and launched an investigation.

We are ready to urgently take the necessary measures together with the international community. We once again emphasize the need for serious sanctions against global cyber vulnerabilities.

Combating digital surveillance and cyber espionage is an integral part of our national security.

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE AS A PRECAUTION?

Based on the results of cyber threat intelligence studies conducted by USOM, we recommend that our citizens using iOS devices pay attention to the following security measures.

These measures are vital to mitigate risks and protect our personal data:

- Upgrade the iOS operating system to the latest version.

- Review your iMessage and FaceTime settings and temporarily disable them if necessary.

- Update passwords regularly, ensuring account security by using strong passwords.

- Enable multi-factor authentication (2FA)

- Beware of messages from suspicious or unfamiliar people.

- Avoid installing apps from unreliable sources.

- Avoid clicking on harmful or unfamiliar links.

- Regularly check the permissions given to the applications used. Limit apps' access to sensitive data such as cameras, microphones and photos.

- Activate wireless connectivity features only when needed.

- Use location services only when needed and restrict unnecessary apps from accessing location services.

- Prevent the automatic completion of username and password information in the Safari web browser application.

We will follow this process to the end.

I thank our USOM teams for their critical work."
