According to a report from NFL Network, free agent quarterback Jameis Winston is scheduled to meet with the New York Giants on Tuesday. The 31-year-old is the latest experienced player to have discussions with the Giants, who currently have only Tommy DeVito, signed as an undrafted free agent in 2023, as their quarterback under contract.
The Giants are said to have made an offer to four-time NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers and are now waiting for his decision. They have previously held discussions with former Super Bowl champions Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco.
Winston, who was the first overall draft pick by the Buccaneers in 2015, played five seasons with Tampa Bay, four with the New Orleans Saints, and the 2024 season with the Browns. During his time in Cleveland, he participated in 12 games (seven as a starter), completing 61.1 percent of his passes for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
In his career spanning 105 games (87 starts), Winston has a record of 36-51. He has thrown for 24,225 yards, with 154 touchdowns and 111 interceptions. Additionally, he has accumulated 1,297 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
