According to Asia Pacific Press, Thanat Thangtewanon said he was sitting on the toilet when he felt a sharp pain, and when he bent down, the snake grabbed his neck and tried to rip his head off.
“I felt something biting my testicles. It was very painful, so I put my hands on the toilet bowl to see what went wrong. I was shocked that I was holding a snake,” he said.
The young man said that when the snake remained motionless, he took a toilet brush and started hitting it on the head, and that the snake's teeth were knocked out as a result of the blows to its jaw.
The young man continued:
“I quickly got up and pulled it out. I felt pain, really bad pain and blood everywhere, but I was even more shocked to find a python in the toilet.”
The jaw-dropping photos he shared on social media show the bloodthirsty snake lying dead in his bathroom.
Thangtewanon was rushed to hospital for a tetanus shot but did not need any stitches, the UK Mirror reported.
The young man said, “My testicles are safe now. I'm lucky it wasn't a poisonous snake. A cobra would have killed me, but I haven't used that toilet since.”
There was no information on which part of Thailand the attack took place.
NOT THE FIRST INCIDENT
Several people in Thailand have died from snake bites in the toilet in recent years.
In May 2016, a 3-meter python sank its fangs into Attaporn Boonmakchuay's penis while he was using the toilet in Chachoengsao district, BBC reported.
The man was briefly hospitalized after forcibly removing the snake, which was hiding in the plumbing system in his home.
In January 2020, a Thai mother was sitting on a pot when a snake bit her thigh and she had to beat it with a hammer.
In another incident, a Thai man named Boonsong Plaikaew in Samut Prakan province was in the toilet when a 2-meter python bit his thigh.
According to Newsflare.com, Suwi Paramas, a resident of Samut Prakan province, saw a 3.6-meter python while washing his hands in his toilet in March 2023.
Wild footage shows two men tearing apart the toilet to remove the huge snake from a pipe in his house.
Last year, residents of Louisiana and Arizona were also stunned to see snakes coming out of their toilet pipes.
