An adult male was shot by the U.S. Secret Service near the White House in Washington, D.C. just after midnight on Sunday following an “armed confrontation” with law enforcement, as per the agency. The incident took place close to the intersection of 17th and F Streets NW. Prior to this, local police had alerted about a “suicidal individual” potentially heading to D.C. from Indiana, the agency revealed.
