World leaders convene for a clandestine historic summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky engaged in a private meeting with King Charles III on Sunday, just a mere two days following his intense interaction with President Trump in the Oval Office. The rendezvous, hosted at Sandringham House, transpired in anticipation of the European summit, which was being held in the United Kingdom with the objective of rallying support for Zelensky in light of the recent high-profile incident that unfolded in the Oval Office and was broadcast live on television.

The royal familyโ€™s official social media account, X, shared an image capturing the moment when the king and Zelensky shook hands. The accompanying post read, โ€œThis evening, His Majesty The King welcomed the President of Ukraine, @ZelenskyyUa, to Sandringham House,โ€ concluding with an emoticon depicting the Ukrainian flag.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer warmly greeted Zelensky upon his arrival on Saturday, embracing the president of the war-torn nation and reaffirming the United Kingdomโ€™s steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary.

This assembly of leaders comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future dynamics between the United States and Ukraine, subsequent to Zelenskyโ€™s confrontational exchange with President Trump and Vice President Vance during the Oval Office meeting. The American officials, in turn, admonished Zelensky and accused him of not displaying adequate gratitude.
