Wonderful Partnership Unveiled!

The Washington Spirit and CVS Health are set to announce a three-year partnership renewal on Friday, marking one of the most valuable deals in the National Women’s Soccer League. The club revealed that the financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, except that it represents a “multimillion-dollar investment in the club and women’s sports.” As part of the deal, the Spirit, who were runners-up in the 2024 NWSL playoff championship, will continue to feature the CVS Health logo on both their home and away uniforms. This announcement precedes the Spirit’s first home game of the 2025 NWSL season against the Kansas City Current at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Owner of the Washington Spirit, Michele Kang, stated, “Our partnership renewal with CVS Health goes beyond a business deal — it is a validation of where our team, league, and women’s sports as a whole are headed.” Kang emphasized the significance of influential national brands like CVS Health recognizing and supporting the growth and trajectory of the club, underscoring the increasing relevance of the sport in both business and American culture. Since 2020, CVS Health has been a kit sponsor for the Spirit, and the new 2025 kit, named “Shockwave” by Nike, features two new shades of green in addition to the signature neon yellow.

The partnership includes commitments from CVS Health to support community programs that empower women and enhance community health. A special “CVS Health Day” is scheduled for October 18 at the stadium, featuring health-related initiatives and programming focusing on women’s health. Melissa Schulman, senior vice president of government and public affairs for CVS Health, expressed the company’s belief that supporting the Washington Spirit is the right decision, aligning with their goals of promoting healthy choices for adults and children.

The collaboration will highlight CVS Health’s involvement in community impact through various initiatives, such as recognizing stadium and operations teams, as well as honoring local CVS store employees. Player panels with CVS branding inside and outside Audi Field, along with in-game Field LEDs displaying the CVS Health logo and tagline “Healthier Happens Together,” will be part of the partnership activation. The Spirit’s CEO, Kim Stone, emphasized their commitment to setting a new standard for community impact and showcasing the potential of women’s sports.

This partnership extension signals a continued investment in the growth and success of the Washington Spirit, demonstrating the shared vision of both organizations in supporting women’s sports and community empowerment.
