Woman obtains protective order against NFL star accused of assault

A woman named Tia Jones, who recently accused Xavier Worthy of roughing her up, has successfully obtained a temporary protective order against the Kansas City Chiefs star. This information was confirmed by TMZ Sports after Jones requested the order in Williamson County, Texas last Wednesday, which was then granted by a judge shortly after.
Last week, Jones had initially accused Worthy of misconduct, leading to his arrest on Friday on a charge of assaulting a family/household member. However, following further investigation, the district attorney’s office decided not to pursue the case. Despite this, Jones proceeded to file for the protective order this week with the hope of seeking justice through legal channels.
According to her attorneys, Jones is eager for the truth about the incident to be revealed in the formal legal process. On the other hand, Worthy’s lawyers have maintained his innocence, claiming that Jones instigated the altercation after allegations of infidelity. The attorneys also stated that Jones had caused property damage and physically assaulted Worthy, providing photographic evidence to support their claims.
The Kansas City Chiefs have acknowledged the situation and are currently in the process of gathering more information.
