Former winner of the “Guy’s Chance Of A Lifetime” reality game show competition, Philadelphia-based chef Kevin Cooper, has filed a lawsuit against Chicken Guy!, the restaurant owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri and his business partner Robert Earl. The lawsuit, filed in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleges breach of contract regarding a guaranteed $100,000 first-year salary and a franchise promised to Cooper after winning the show in February 2022. The complaint states that Fieri’s and Earl’s companies failed to fulfill the terms of the contract, including providing operational expenses, franchise build-out, and legal fee stipends. Cooper is seeking a $100,000 judgment for the guaranteed salary, as well as reimbursement for expenses totaling $68,933.26. Chicken Guy! and Fieri’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment. The restaurant, created in 2018 by Fieri and Earl, aims to offer a unique dining experience centered around crispy, juicy chicken paired with signature sauces. Since its opening at Disney Springs in Orlando, Chicken Guy! has expanded to multiple locations nationwide.
