The company has provided over 4 million paid rides to customers and continues to expand its services, setting the pace for the industry.
As competitors like Amazon, Tesla, and Lyft gear up to launch their own autonomous services, Waymo’s early success underscores its expertise in the field. Originally developed as a secret project within Google and later spun off into a stand-alone entity under Alphabet Inc., Waymo has emerged as a pioneer in the burgeoning robotaxi market.
