Recall Alert: Target Issues Recall for Baby Food Containing Lead
Attention, parents! If you have any baby food stocked in your pantry, it’s essential to inspect the labels. Target has recalled over 25,000 units of Good & Gather Baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree due to elevated lead levels.
The recall (F-0693-2025) pertains to the four-ounce containers and was launched on March 12, now classified as a Class II recall. While exposure to the product may lead to temporary or medically reversible health issues, the risk of severe consequences is low.
A Target Communications spokesperson informed Consumer Reports that the company swiftly removed the affected products from shelves upon discovery.
To determine if you have any of the recalled items at home, check the lot number and “best by” date. Products with the following identifiers should not be consumed:
Lot Number: 4169, Best By Date: Dec 09, 2025
Lot Number: 4167, Best By Date: Dec 07, 2025
Given that infants and children are particularly vulnerable to lead exposure, it’s crucial to stay informed. For more details, visit the CDC website.
