Walmart’s Delivery Drivers Face Identity Verification Challenge!

Walmart is requesting certain Spark delivery drivers to confirm their identities in person at a store. Gig delivery workers will receive a $15 payment for completing this identity verification process. Some drivers have been utilizing Spark accounts under different names to carry out deliveries. The retail giant is now requiring select Spark drivers to physically show their driver’s license at a Walmart store for identity confirmation. Upon doing so, drivers will be compensated with a one-time payment of $15. This initiative, currently being piloted in specific markets, aims to prevent fraudulent use of Spark accounts. Walmart is exploring different security measures, with this in-person verification being the latest approach.
