Valkyries Make History with 10K Season Ticket Milestone!

The Golden State Valkyries have made history by becoming the first WNBA team to sell 10,000 season tickets, the expansion team announced. The Valkyries, the newest addition to the league since 2008, will commence their season on May 16 with a home game against the Los Angeles Sparks at the Chase Center, which they will share with the Warriors.

Valkyries president Jess Smith expressed gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support in reaching this milestone. The team is now focused on finalizing the buyers from the 22,000 deposits received for season tickets, with single-game sales set to open soon. Despite sharing a venue with the Warriors, the Valkyries have their own ticketing offices and practice facility.

The WNBA experienced a resurgence in 2024 with its highest total attendance in 22 years, attracting 2.35 million fans, a 48 percent increase from the previous year. Notably, three games featuring Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever drew over 20,000 fans each, including a record-setting attendance of 20,711 when the Fever played against the Washington Mystics on September 19.
