A man in Stansbury Park, Utah, was rescued from an icy lake after attempting to save a dog that had fallen into the freezing waters. The incident occurred late Saturday night at Stansbury Lake, as reported by the North Tooele Fire District. The man fell through the ice while trying to rescue the dog, prompting a response from several agencies equipped with ice rescue gear. A Tooele County Sheriff’s deputy on shore successfully used a rope to pull the man to safety. Both the man and the dog received treatment at the scene and were expected to fully recover.
