US House Takes Aim at Major Climate Clean Energy Reversals in Budget Proposal!

In an effort to advance President Donald Trump’s agenda, U.S. House lawmakers are proposing significant changes to clean energy tax credits and spending related to electric vehicles and renewable energy. The House Committee on Energy and Commerce is set to vote on a proposal that aims to raise $6.5 billion by repealing climate-related portions of the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act. The proposal includes measures to roll back key Environmental Protection Agency rules and expedite permits for liquefied natural gas exports. Additionally, it would reallocate funds, such as unspent money from greenhouse gas reduction initiatives and renewable energy programs, towards other priorities. These changes have sparked criticism from environmental advocates, who argue that the proposal undermines important investments in energy efficiency and public health.
