WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States disclosed the addition of numerous entities, including those from China, Iran, and Pakistan, to its export restriction list, as detailed in a notice published in the Federal Register on Tuesday. The entities, numbering over 50 from China, were identified as working against the national security or foreign policy interests of the U.S. The Chinese entities mentioned consist of companies involved in acquiring U.S.-origin items to enhance China’s quantum technology capabilities, supporting China’s military modernization efforts, and supplying other restricted entities on the list such as Huawei, the prominent tech company shaping China’s AI goals.
