The U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has enlisted the help of a group of employees from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, according to an email sent to regulatory staff on Thursday. The bank regulator mentioned that a small team from DOGE is collaborating with agency leadership, as stated in the email viewed by Reuters. The email assured staff that the DOGE team comprises full-time federal employees with proper clearances, and emphasized that they have not sought access to sensitive bank information. A spokesperson for the FDIC chose not to provide a comment, and there was no response from the White House upon request for comment.
