URGENT: Blue Ridge Beef recalls dog food – Salmonella alert!

“URGENT: Blue Ridge Beef is issuing a recall on dog food products due to a Salmonella alert! The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reported that infected pets may exhibit symptoms such as lethargy, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Other affected pets may only display signs of decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. It is important to note that infected but seemingly healthy pets can act as carriers of the bacteria and potentially transmit it to other animals or even humans.

The FDA advises pet owners to be vigilant and if their pet has consumed the recalled product and is exhibiting any of the aforementioned symptoms, they should promptly seek veterinary attention. On the human side, individuals infected with Salmonella may experience symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. Typically, these symptoms manifest between six hours to six days after exposure to the bacteria, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While most individuals recover from Salmonella infection without medical intervention within a week, certain demographics, such as the young and the elderly, may develop more severe illnesses that require medical treatment or hospitalization.

The states impacted by this recall include Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Tennessee, and Rhode Island.

In other news, new details have emerged about the military helicopter involved in a midair collision. Additionally, there is ongoing coverage regarding the victims of the midair plane crash in D.C., with senators pressing Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and RFK Jr. during confirmation hearings for further information.”
