Nili Margalit, a 41-year-old nurse, was abducted from her residence in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Shani Goren, 29, was also taken from Nir Oz and was later spotted in a video shared by Hamas, as confirmed by her family. She, originally the granddaughter of Uruguayan citizens, was granted citizenship following her kidnapping. Uruguay authorities informed local media that they had been actively working towards her release.
Ilana Gritzewsky, 30, was taken captive alongside her Israeli partner, Matan Zanguaker, from Nir Oz according to Ilana’s father. Ilana had immigrated to Israel from Mexico 14 years ago. Matan is still being held as a captive. They were captured near the Gaza border as reported by their family.
Raya Rotem, 54, was released on November 29th, just a few days after her daughter Hila Rotem Shoshani, 13, both of whom were kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri. Itay Regev, 18, and his sister, Maya Regev, 21, have since been released after being taken from the Supernova music festival.
Amit Shani, 16, was the sole family member taken by Hamas gunmen during an intrusion into their safe room at Kibbutz Be’eri. Ofir Engel, 18, an Israeli-Dutch national who was visiting his girlfriend in Be’eri, was also seized along with Yuval’s father, Yossi Sharabi, who unfortunately lost his life in captivity due to an Israeli airstrike. Yossi’s brother, Eli Sharabi, 55, is still in captivity.
Other individuals taken from Be’eri included Gali Tarshansky, 13, who was accompanied by her brother Lior, who died in the incident. Yarden Roman-Gat, a 36-year-old German-Israeli citizen, has been reunited with her husband and young child after being abducted.

Her father, Tom Hand, shared his relief upon her release after initially being told she had been killed. Ada Sagi, 75, was abducted from her home in the same kibbutz. Noralin “Nataly” Babadila, 60, was visiting Kibbutz Nirim when kidnapped, resulting in the death of her partner, Gideon. Hostages also included Hanna Katzir, 77, and her son Elad Katzir, 47, whose body was later found. Channah Peri, 79, and her son Nadav Popplewell, 51, were also taken, with Nadav’s body later recovered. Dr. Shoshan Haran, 67, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri and released with her daughter and grandchildren, but her husband was killed in the attack.
