Unravel the Mystery with Today’s NYT Spangram Clues and Answers!

Unlock the Enigmatic Mysteries Revealed in Today’s Newspaper

As reported by The New York Times, here is an in-depth guide on how to engage in the challenging game of “Strands”:

Your objective in Strands is to identify theme words and place them on the board. These theme words will remain highlighted in blue once recognized. You can either drag or tap the letters to form words. If tapping, remember to double-tap the final letter to submit your word. Theme words must completely fill the board without overlapping.

A crucial aspect of the game is to discover the “spangram.” This special clue offers insight into the puzzle’s theme and spans across two opposite sides of the board. The spangram may consist of two words and will shine in a vibrant yellow when found. For example, a spangram could include words like PEAR, FRUIT, BANANA, APPLE, and more.

If you find yourself stuck, you can look for non-theme words to receive helpful hints. Every three non-theme words you uncover will earn you a hint. Hints will reveal the letters of a theme word, and if there is an existing hint on the board, it will display the order of letters in that word.

In today’s Strands challenge, the hint for the theme “Here We (Don’t) Go Again” is related to the concept of “stop-and-go” traffic. The spangram for today’s puzzle runs horizontally from left to right.

Be warned of potential spoilers ahead! Today’s puzzle features a total of five theme words, including the spangram. One hint reveals that the first theme word can be found in the upper half of the board and provides the first two letters of each word as a head start: GR, BL, CO, OV, and TR (for spangram).

The answer to today’s spangram, as of Saturday, February 22, 2025, is revealed as TRAFFICJAM. The full list of today’s Strands answers for Saturday, February 22 includes GRIDLOCK, BLOCKAGE, CONGESTION, OVERCROWDING, and TRAFFICJAM (spangram).
