The intervention involved a daily dose of 2,000 international units (IU) of vitamin D, one gram of omega-3 fatty acids, and a 30-minute strength training routine thrice weekly.

Individuals who received only the omega-3 supplement experienced an estimated reduction of four months in their biological age. Notably, those who adhered to the complete regimen witnessed even more substantial outcomes, including a 61% decrease in cancer risks and overall health enhancements. Furthermore, a 13% reduction in infections was noted with omega-3 supplementation alone, while a 10% decrease in falls occurred.

Dayan Goodenowe elucidated the role of omega-3, particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), in maintaining cellular vitality. DHA, an essential fatty acid, sustains membrane fluidity crucial for youthfulness. Supplementation with DHA offsets age-related membrane rigidity and oxidative stress, combating the aging process.
