Unique Hat Creation Woman Harvests Bunny’s Fur for 1 Year!

A 29-year-old woman has come up with a creative way to tidy up after her lionhead rabbit pet! Josie Francis spent a year collecting the fur shed by her bunny in order to craft a beanie hat from the fluff. Using the username Fuzz and Fuzz on TikTok, Francis shared a video showcasing the process and introduced her adorable 4-year-old bunny named Phoebe. The video featured sweet clips of Phoebe with her nose in a bag of porridge oats and playing in the snow. Francis mentioned, “I spent a year collecting her fur. I found someone to spin her fur into yarn, then someone to knit it into a beanie, and I’m about to see the final results.” The TikTok video had garnered 168,000 likes as of March 12. Viewers saw Francis happily trying on the hat made from her rabbit’s fur. She described the hat as having long scarf-style ties and exceeding her expectations. The artisan who made the hat also created a mini version for Phoebe, much to Francis’s delight. She mentioned that the rabbit fur hat was soft and luxurious, expressing her love for it and her bunny. Despite acknowledging the process as unusual, Francis expressed her joy in the final product and announced plans to launch a limited edition of “Phoebe Beanies” with her business partner. The project holds special significance to them, reflecting their love for Phoebe and their creative collaboration.
