Trump’s White House Shake-Up Revealed Ahead of Crucial Hearings!

Other high-profile nominees set to face questioning from senators this week include South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem, nominated by former President Trump to lead the Department of Homeland Security, and former Florida Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has been tapped as Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney General. Both Noem and Bondi are scheduled to begin their confirmation hearings on Wednesday.

In addition to Noem and Bondi, a number of other key nominees have been selected by Trump for top positions in his administration:

Paul R. Lawrence has been nominated as the Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Lawrence previously served as the Under Secretary of Benefits at the Department of Veterans Affairs during Trump’s first term. If confirmed, Lawrence would work closely with Veterans Affairs Secretary nominee Doug Collins.

Doug Collins, a former congressman from Georgia and chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve Command, has been nominated as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Collins is known for his involvement in promoting baseless claims of voter fraud in Georgia following the 2020 election. His confirmation hearing is set to take place on Tuesday.

James P. Danly, a former U.S. Army officer with two tours of service in Iraq, has been nominated as the Deputy Secretary of Energy. Danly previously served as chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission during Trump’s first term. He is set to work under Chris Wright, an oil industry executive and donor to Trump’s 2024 campaign, if confirmed. Wright’s confirmation hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

David Fotouhi, currently a partner at the law firm Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher, has been nominated as the Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Fotouhi previously held roles within the EPA during Trump’s first term, including acting general counsel. If confirmed, he would serve under Lee Zeldin, a former congressman from New York. Zeldin’s confirmation hearing is planned for Thursday.

Steven Gill Bradbury, who previously served as general counsel in the Department of Transportation during Trump’s first term, has been nominated as the Deputy Secretary of Transportation. Bradbury, a former law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is set to work under Sean Duffy, a former congressman from Wisconsin and current co-host of “The Bottom Line” on Fox Business, if both are confirmed. Duffy’s confirmation hearing is set for Wednesday.

Katharine MacGregor, who served in the Department of the Interior during Trump’s first term, has been nominated as the Deputy Secretary of the Interior. MacGregor, currently vice president of environmental services at U.S. energy company NextEra Energy, Inc., would work under North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum if confirmed. The Department of the Interior oversees the management of federal lands and natural resources, as well as programs aimed at supporting tribal communities.
