Trump, along with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, made the announcement.
Trump emphasized that the NFL Draft is a significant celebration of American culture. This historic event marks the first time the draft will be held in the U.S. capital, with the National Mall as the chosen venue.
“It’s an honor to host this event, and I believe it will be a great experience for everyone. It will be special and unlike any other,” Trump expressed. Goodell anticipates over a million fans attending the three-day event in 2027.
