Trump Hints at Easing Syria Sanctions after Secret Talks!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump suggested on Monday that he might consider easing U.S. sanctions on Syria in response to a question from his Turkish counterpart. Syria has been facing challenges in meeting the conditions set by the U.S. for sanctions relief, which have isolated the country from the global financial system and hindered economic recovery after years of conflict. “We are considering lifting the sanctions on Syria to provide them with a fresh beginning,” Trump informed the press. He mentioned that the issue of Syria sanctions was raised by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey. Trump acknowledged that the current sanctions are not conducive to helping Syria get back on its feet and expressed a desire to explore ways to assist them.
