Trump Considers Military Action for Greenland Control as Son Visits!

Donald Trump Jr.’s visit to Greenland is being treated as a private visit by the Government of Greenland, according to Mininnguaq Kleist, the permanent secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Kleist stated to CBS News that there would be no official reactions to the visit, emphasizing that Greenland welcomes visitors to their beautiful country.

Reports from Reuters, citing a source familiar with the trip, indicated that Trump Jr. intended to film content for a podcast during his brief one-day visit. The purpose of his visit was not officially disclosed, but it was mentioned that he would be exploring some of the spectacular areas and sights of Greenland.

President-elect Trump took to social media to express his enthusiasm for the visit, stating, “hearing that the people of Greenland are ‘MAGA.’ My son, Don Jr, and various representatives, will be traveling there to visit some of the most magnificent areas and sights. Greenland is an incredible place, and the people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, and cherish it, from a very vicious outside World. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”

During his previous term, President Trump had shown interest in purchasing Greenland, a proposal that was promptly rejected by Danish authorities. Trump had also highlighted national security concerns, asserting that the ownership and control of Greenland was vital for the United States.

Greenland’s government has consistently rebuffed any notions of being for sale, with Prime Minister Mute Egede firmly stating, “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale.” Egede recently delivered a New Year’s speech advocating for Greenland to break free from colonial ties and achieve full independence from Denmark, emphasizing the importance of shaping their own future and determining their strategic partnerships.

Aaja Chemnitz, a Greenlandic lawmaker in Denmark’s parliament, voiced strong opposition to Trump’s interest in Greenland, dismissing it as part of his expansionist aspirations. Chemnitz expressed, “I don’t want to be a pawn in Trump’s hot dreams of expanding his empire to include our country.”

In other news, Trump announced plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” Justin Trudeau disclosed his intention to step down as the Prime Minister of Canada, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune delivered a speech at Jimmy Carter’s service at the U.S. Capitol.
