Travis Barker Buys Liquid Death Can Containing Ozzy Osbourne’s DNA
Travis Barker, the Blink-182 drummer, recently acquired a unique item – a can of Ozzy Osbourne’s DNA. Barker, 49, shared a now-expired photo on his Instagram Stories showing an empty Liquid Death can that reportedly holds traces of the legendary rocker’s saliva.
This particular can was part of a limited release, with 10 cans being sold for $450 each under the name “Infinitely Recyclable Ozzy.” The cans were marketed as containing Osbourne’s actual DNA for fans to recycle indefinitely. Liquid Death promoted the crushed cans, complete with DNA samples and Osbourne’s signature label, as a special collector’s item.
The ad for the cans hinted at the possibility of replicating Ozzy Osbourne in the future once technology and regulations allow, suggesting a never-ending tribute to the “Crazy Train” singer. Osbourne himself jokingly encouraged fans to clone him for posterity, even collaborating with Liquid Death on a previous product called Death Dust.
Barker’s admiration for Osbourne is evident, as he also shared a photo earlier this year of vintage rock shirts for his son, including one featuring Osbourne. Meanwhile, Osbourne is gearing up for Black Sabbath’s farewell concert on Saturday, July 5 in Birmingham, England, their first show in two decades.
Despite facing health challenges in recent years, Osbourne remains determined to give his all for the upcoming performance, expressing his commitment to the show’s preparation. Barker, on the other hand, was recently spotted attending a WWE match with his wife Kourtney Kardashian and son Rocky, 20 months old, in Los Angeles.
Looking ahead, Barker and Blink-182 are set to kick off their Missionary Impossible Tour at the end of August, traveling across the U.S. until early October.
