A 10-year-old Michigan boy tragically passed away when his overweight foster mother sat on him for five minutes as a form of discipline. Jennifer Wilson, who weighs 340 pounds, told authorities that young Dakota Stevens had run away from her home that morning and was misbehaving when she found him at a neighbor’s house. Wilson claimed that Dakota threw himself on the front lawn and she sat on him while contacting his caseworker. Despite his screams, Dakota eventually stopped moving as Wilson sat on him. She initially believed he was pretending to be hurt until she noticed his pale eyelids when she rolled him over. Police arrived to find Dakota unresponsive and without a pulse. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly could not be saved and was taken off life support two days later. Wilson is facing charges and could receive a six-year prison sentence if convicted. Additionally, her foster parent license has been suspended and is under review for permanent revocation.
