A tragic incident unfolded at a school in San Antonio, Texas, as a beloved teacher lost her life in a devastating crash that also injured several young children. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar provided details during a news conference, revealing that a parent, while loading her own children into her vehicle, accidentally accelerated, crashing into the building and another car.
The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to veer off course and collide with a fence where a group of children were playing. Tragically, the teacher, who was playing with the children at the time, became trapped under one of the vehicles for a period before firefighters were able to extricate her using a hydraulic lift. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Fortunately, though, the children involved in the accident were taken to a hospital for treatment, with all reported to be alive, albeit with injuries of varying severity.
