Paul Rodriguez’s recent misfortune has taken a tragic turn as his close friend succumbed to a fentanyl overdose inside the comedian’s residence in November. The Medical Examiner has confirmed that Paul’s friend, Donald Serrato, passed away due to the combined effects of fentanyl, PCP, and methamphetamine.
Paul had shared that Donald was staying at his home for a few days before the unfortunate incident occurred. Upon returning from work one morning, Paul reached out to Donald for lunch, only to receive no response. Concerned, he asked his girlfriend to check on Donald, and she discovered him deceased in the house.
In a separate incident, Paul has been involved in a legal dispute with the Burbank Police Department following a recent arrest for alleged narcotics possession during a traffic stop. Authorities claim to have found drugs in a female friend’s purse, including suspected fentanyl, which is currently undergoing testing.
Despite previous denials of possessing any controlled substances related to his arrest, Paul’s lawyer has addressed the situation. Efforts to obtain a statement from Paul’s team regarding his friend’s fentanyl-related death have not been successful at this time.
With fentanyl-related deaths on the rise nationwide, it is hoped that these occurrences are merely unfortunate coincidences for Paul.
