Tom Green, the 53-year-old comedian, excitedly shared his engagement news on Instagram Threads on December 22nd. He announced, “Big news! Amanda and I are engaged! I am the luckiest guy in the world. I love you Amanda. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from us to all of you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Although he did not disclose Amanda’s last name, Tom posted several photos of them, including a picture of her flaunting her sparkling engagement ring in a winter snapshot. Amanda, who hails from Petawawa, Canada like Tom, shares a similar upbringing in Canadian military families and attended the same elementary school. Both have a shared passion for the countryside.
After spending 20 years in Los Angeles, Tom recently moved back to Canada and purchased a 150-acre wilderness property where he is raising horses. While the exact start of their relationship remains unknown, Tom first publicly acknowledged Amanda in June 2024, thanking her for an adventurous time out west. He frequently expresses his admiration for Amanda, often referring to her as “beautiful” and “amazing.”
In addition to his acclaimed MTV series, The Tom Green Show, Tom is also recognized for his brief marriage to actress Drew Barrymore. Tom and Drew began dating in 2000 after meeting on the set of Charlie’s Angels and tied the knot in 2001, only to divorce shortly after. Despite their challenges, they reunited on Drew’s talk show in 2021, where she shared her love for Tom. Their reunion marked nearly 20 years since they last met face-to-face.
“Ird, though,” Green told Barrymore. “Not weird in a bad way — weird in a good way. Appreciate it, Drew, so thanks for having me on the show. It’s awesome. This is cool. I actually think this is a nice way of reconnecting, actually. It takes a little bit of the pressure off.” Barrymore replied, “Well, I respect and love you,” to which Green said, “Love you, too.”
In January 2025, Green will embark on a U.S. tour to perform stand-up comedy and music from his new country album, Home to the County.
