The Who Set to Rock North America One Last Time!

The announcement of a potential final tour by The Who may be viewed with doubt, given that the band has previously hinted at retirement only to continue performing sporadically. With band members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey now in their late 70s and early 80s, the inevitability of time catching up with them is acknowledged. The recent declaration of “The Song Is Over” tour as the band’s bittersweet farewell to the US and Canada marks the end of a remarkable six-decade career. Although not explicitly mentioned, it is expected that longtime drummer Zak Starkey, who had a brief departure from the band earlier in the year, will be part of the final tour.

Reflecting on their journey, Roger Daltrey expressed gratitude for the American audiences that embraced them from the 60s onwards, shaping their musical rebellion and providing a sense of possibility. Pete Townshend shared his bittersweet sentiments, reminiscing about the early days of performing for engaged American and Canadian crowds. The duo, carrying on the legacy of late bandmates Keith Moon and John Entwistle, are eager to bid farewell to their loyal fans and welcome new ones who have yet to experience their 57-year musical legacy.

Tickets for the farewell tour will be available through presales for Citi cardmembers and The Who Fan Club, with general sales starting on a specified date. VIP packages will also be offered to enhance the concert experience for fans.
