Senator Graham, in a video statement, confirmed his meeting with Zelenskyy and mentioned his upcoming attendance at the White House for the signing of a significant minerals agreement.

Senator Graham emphasized the economic advantages of a half-trillion-dollar deal that will greatly benefit the American economy. He noted Ukraine’s rich resource of critical minerals, crucial for competing in the 21st-century market. Graham expressed enthusiasm from both President Trump and President Zelenskyy for this economic pact.
Ahead of Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump, sources revealed that Senator Graham advised him not to engage in provocations. However, he was not alone in offering counsel, with senators from both parties reportedly providing guidance to the Ukrainian leader during the bipartisan gathering.
While Zelenskyy expressed appreciation towards the senators, he also underscored the need for a security guarantee. Some senators recommended focusing on the mineral deal initially and addressing security concerns later.
Nevertheless, the signing of the deal now hangs in the balance following a confrontation in the Oval Office involving Zelenskyy, Trump, and Vance, leading to the cancellation of the ceremony.
Later that Friday at the White House, Senator Graham appeared to shift his stance from earlier remarks, commending the President and acknowledging J.D. Vance’s stance in support of the country.
Expressing disappointment in Zelenskyy’s conduct during the Oval Office meeting, Graham stated, “I witnessed disrespect, making future dealings with Zelenskyy questionable.” He suggested Zelenskyy step down or alter his approach for future negotiations.
Despite the discord in the Oval Office, Senators Klobuchar and Coons defended Zelenskyy in their social media posts, particularly addressing Vance’s accusation of disrespect towards American hosts.
