Logan Federico, 22, from Waxhaw, NC, was visiting friends in Columbia, SC when an intruder broke into the house she was staying at, took her credit cards, and fatally shot her. Her devastated father is still waiting for a response to his last text message to her, expressing his love for her.
Described as a hardworking and vibrant individual, Logan was studying at South Piedmont Community College and planning to transfer to the College of Charleston to pursue a career in teaching. Her father, Stephen Federico, remembered her love for animals, friendly demeanor, and dedication to uplifting those around her.
The suspect, Alexander Dickey, a repeat offender with a lengthy criminal record, allegedly broke into the rental property where Logan was staying and committed the heinous act. He was apprehended after using her credit cards for purchases and fleeing the scene.
