A voice is heard identifying the tornado approaching. Moments later, the tornado passes over their house, with debris striking the building as the family seeks safety. Inside, the winds roar as the home withstands the storm. After the tornado passes, the family assesses the damage caused. Outside, they discover significant destruction to nearby buildings and trees. Tragically, Walthall County officials confirmed at least three fatalities caused by the tornado in the nearby Darbun area. This tornado was part of a multistate outbreak over two days that has resulted in numerous casualties across the nation’s heartland and the South.
